Brief biographical sketch of SmartDrill Managing Consultant Peter Taves

Mr. Taves has more than 30 years' experience in research and analysis. Before starting SmartDrill in 1996, he was a founding partner and Managing Consultant at Growth Strategies Group, a business consulting collaborative, from 1989 to 1996. Mr. Taves has also held various other positions in both advertising and management consulting. He has served as Research Supervisor, Technical Development, for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, NY, NY; Director of Market Research for Bain & Company, Boston, MA; and Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing Services, for Ingalls, Quinn & Johnson Advertising, Boston, MA. In addition, he has served as a beta tester for various statistical software packages, including SI CHAID, SPSS Answer Tree and GOLDMineR.

Before entering the business world in the late 1970s, Mr. Taves had taught various psychology courses at Briarcliff College (Briarcliff Manor, NY) and the Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY). He holds a B.A. degree in Psychology (cum laude) from Johns Hopkins University and an M.A. degree in Social Psychology from Princeton University, where he served as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant on full scholarship.
